Has anyone seen this movie yet? What did you think?
I really liked the first two movies when I was a kid, and I'm hoping the new one will bring back the memories. I haven't seen it yet but I hope to soon.

I saw it the other night and sort of liked it. It takes a lot of its content and style from the Mirage comics (April is not a reporter here, for example), doesn't feel much like the cartoons. In fact it's almost too serious. Not a bad movie though.

First TMNT movie is still the best though. Felt the most like the Eastman/Laird comics. I loved it so much when I was a lad.

The first 2 were great. The (third?) was terrible.
"It's quiet!" "Yeah, a little too quiet!"
"That was easy!" "Yeah, a little too easy!" "Look! It's Raph!" "Yeah, a little too Raph!"

Even at 10 I knew Turtles 3 was the worst movie ever. Paige Turco was hot though.

Who is your F A V O R I T E S T turtle? Mines is Leoraphatellardangelo, even though the turtles with bladed weapons are doomed to lose because they can't use them due to the pg rating. A ninja turtle movie with graphic kill bill style slicing and nunchuckicizing would rule.
At one time michaelangelo should say "Don't make me nunchuckicize you!"

Raph because I could relate to his fiery temper and loner mentality. I always resented how much he sucked in the video games, because his Sai weapons had such poor range. He also got all the ladies... Mona Lisa in the cartoon and Ninjara in the comics.

Oh yeah. tmnt 2 (arcade version) (plus another for genesis called turtles in time I think) were great, or are nostalgic at least since they might not be that fun to play anymore. You basically just press a+b all the time to do the jump slash. They should have a (muppety) tmnt movie where they meet the battletoads.
rebuying tmnt 1 for NES was probably the biggest nostalgia I've ever had. It was sad that I beat that one cyber guy on the rooftop so easily this time, but I still havn't beat the game because that top down manhole maze where planes fly overhead.

TMNT1 was just recently released on the Wii Virtual Console, so a whole new generation of gamers can experience how amazingly cheap and frustrating it is. Angry Nintendo Nerd ably summed it up. As a kid I didn't care about its problems, and I had a lot of fun with it. It was kind of open-ended and felt like a real adventure. I think you'd have to be a real masochist to try to beat it without cheats though. Part of its ''charm''.
TMNT2 and TMNT3 have aged poorly because you have like 2 moves, but I think Turtles in Time holds up well, you've got a variety of things to beat up and a variety of moves to beat them up with.

I finished the first TMNT NES game, recently. It's actually pretty easy, except for the last corridor leading up to Shredder. It's not as bad of a game as people make it out to be, although it does have its, ahem, "quirks".
The TMNT beat-em-ups are wicked. The two on NES are good, and the SNES one (Turtles In Time) is my favourite.

I disagree with his double dragon 3 review. I probably beat that game 5 times. Also chin is one of the most useful characters; you just have to use his iron claw on the bosses, then change characters before he dies.

Ummm yeah.... So what about the new movie then? Do we need to start a new thread here?
P.S. In the movie "The Toxic Avenger IV: Citizen Toxie", Kevin Eastman litterally gets his head smashed in between Julie Strain's naked breasts... I thought that was funny to the max.

fucking pathetic if you think of people in suits finding the target audience of loser 30 year olds and giving them a remake of characters from their childhood. Unless kids today still know about/play with ninja turtles.

I could make it up to some point in the Technodrome. I'm not sure how close to Shredder I was because I've never seen him. I'd always die in horrific slow-motion, swarmed over by those jet pack guys. My sisters have beaten it though.

That's why we talked about videogames. Doom 2's Hell Revealed wad is the best videogame ever and I wouldn't mind if it placed reality, and it basically did for awhile. Gotta love that reality. There's so many options in it, such as failing, losing, not succeeding, etc.
