Analog X may be right for you.

the analog x one is nice except its not realtime and can
take a really long time to preview/render some files.

the mda vst pack has a vocoder, talkbox (not sure
what exactly the differences are), and a handy little
pitch tracker for getting that autotuned sound without
having to record a new synth line.

Analog X is a bit difficult to use, but the sound you end up
with is very good IMO.

yeah, you also have to make sure the levels are even too on
both samples or else you get hella pop noise.

Zapp and roger use a DX100 through a talk box, not a
vocoder.

You will not be able to get that close an effect with a
vocoder, just because a vocoder is an array of eq's that
analyze an audio signal and use that to control an array of
oscilators. A talk box sends a sound out through a tube into
your mouth, so you end up "talking" that sound. The talk box
is going to give you a much more accurate kind of modulated
sound.

That said, if you use the same patch that is used by roger
as the carrier wave, it may come close in sound, but not
exact.
