I have no idea who this is, as there is very little
information on the page, but the song 'Salt on Morgan' is
hitting me in a very positive way. Just thought I'd
share..

Hope things are well with all my zilty buddies this lovely
evening.

Salt on Morgan is pretty dope.

This artist's music kind of resembles that of cLOUDDEAD.

You know, I haven't heard much more than a few minutes of
clouddead.. I assume you'd recommend it?

Your assumption is accurate.

I recommend listening to their self-titled debut. Ten
is there second (and probably final) album, but it's not
quite as good as their first, I think.

(check it)

I second that guy's recommendation and album preferance

I prefer Ten, but, horses for courses and all that stuff. I
think also that rifle eyes is the track.

Velvet Ant and Rifle Eyes are my favourite tracks from Ten.
I find the rest of them rather mediocre though.

these guys are pretty good, and yes, deffinately quite
derivative of cLOUDdEAD methinks, but there are so few
people who can actually do this kind of slow motion hip hop
on valium right that its okay.

the emcee on this track actually sounds alot like the guest
vocalist on 'i promise never to get paint on my glasses
again (side b)'.

for getting into clouddead, i deffinately reccomend the
self-titled debut as well, but ive also gotta mention the
spectacular live peel sessions. and if you really cant get
enough, go into dose one and boom bip's album 'circle' which
is a mindblowing piece of abstract hip hop.

I couldn't get my blasted Realplayer to work on the site you
linked to, pachi, but I found their myspace page
here and it sounds pretty interesting. The song
'This about the City' was very very cool.. gave me similarly
pleasant feelings inside. From what I read it and the
little I heard it sounds like they really have/had a unique
approach.. sort of ambient hiphoppish. I'll be digging a
little more and I'll keep an eye out for their self-titled
next time I'm in the record shop. Thanks!

clouddead are kind of a guilty pleasure.
the production is kind of weird (good weird?? i dunno!) but
i enjoy the music.

clouddead make some good music but they feel kinda awkward
lyrics/vocalwise sometimes, i think. bit too much.

Erm... This is just a remix of Sole's Salt On Everything.
Sole was on the first cLOUDDEAD album ("it's all the same
shit but they call it cLOUDDEAD, I got two hands and half a
head" or something) and I believe this track was also
produced by Odd Nosdam from cLOUDDEAD.

I'll try and find a sample of the original track to post.

Aggghhh, I kneeew it had to be a remix!! It just had that
sound to it.. Nothing gets under my skin more than poorly
labeled (or unlabeled, as the case may be) remixes and
covers. Nevertheless, most of what I liked about the remix
was the guitars (also probably sampled from something.. what
I'm not sure) and the French singing-speaking on top.
Still, it's pretty interesting that Pachi made the clouddead
comparison, apparently without having heard this particular
song..

Thanks for the heads up though. Great track all around.
