Probably stupid question, but ive been messing around and
cant fix it, the only way i can control volume is via my
knob on the speakers, my mac isnt letting me use the volume
up or down keys and cant control it via my griffin
powermate, when you try to adjust volume the thing comes up
just a circle with a line through it is under the volume
bar.

I will however use this thread to ask another question, i
have an Mbox 2 and im not entirely sure if i can use it as
an output to play stuff into a tape player, from the audio
control panel when selected it says it has no output options
but for a 400 dollar box it seems like it would do more than
just do line in?

trade the mbox 2 for the original mbox (somehow)

why did they change the design?

mylittlesister: the mbox2 is the scaled down version
of the mbox1, so in order to trade staight up for it you
would need to add money

whoami: I would have suggested against protools in
the first place. The next time you are going to look into
purchasing a DAW, maybe look into audition. Its just as good
for recording, and offers you a lot more in terms of
usability and features. Aparently it is getting or has just
gotten intel mac support.

Scratch that, I was wrong about it being scaled down. The
mini is a scaled version (duh!)

Funny mbox reading Analogue industries

Pff, that article lies, i aint skinny. And im recording to
tape cuz its hood as shit, im also trying to make one of
those 6 second tape loops for the hell of it. Anyways i
found out the way to do it, just need some extra cables.

@ Taxidermist
I dont even really use pro tools with the mbox, i route the
thing to live and soundtrack pro most of the time.
