am i alone here? however much i sleep, i am constantly
tired. it makes me feel really run down and battered. roll
on the warm seasons, for they bring happiness.

yeah i have the same thing. the only thing you can do is
create as much structure as you can (preferably get a job
with steady hours), eat varied foods, never sleep for longer
than 8 hours, and just deal with it.

i fucked a good 3 years of my life by being tired all the
time. It's fucking shit.

go outside, exercise, eat, add vitamins if eating properly
doesn't help.

yes go outside and breathe in the pollution,

exercise because people who exercise get at least 100yrs
old.

eat. not eating makes you hungry and then you have to think
more, which makes you tired.

vitamins make ALL the difference. screw coffee. just mash up
a bottle of vitamins, add spring water and down the stuff.

dm, you know fuck all. why do you even bother? this is just
fuckin ridiculous.

I think it's called "Being a teenager" and there are medical
reasons.

i think it's called depression

also

there are vitamins and such in sunlight that help you feel
better, it's a proven fact. it's why people get depressed in
the winter.

exercise gets your endorphins going

eating is just an all around good idea for staying alive

vitamins are good for you

Yeah you're probably not getting enough exercise and
sunlight, that makes the difference in my case. Or maybe you
are. I just don't know.

more people started getting depressed during winter after
the winter depression diagnose was "invented."

It is called being lazy. Get off your arse and do something
instead of wasting your time on the internet.

Yeah right, but even so, quality over quantity. Live a good,
short life rather than a lackadaisical long one.

I've had the same thing, and have realised it's all to do
with sunlight. When there is the odd sunny, warm day, it
feels like I'm on crack. You get so used to the winter
atmosphere that you forget how good you normally feel in
summer.

I think we both suffer from the same thing

Seasonal Affective Disorder

also i reckon i'm probably maybe a bit bipolar

and maybe probably a bit lazy too

Depression is an all to easy 'get out' clause for anyone who
can't be arsed moving during the colder months (a natural
thing anyway due to the lack of vitamin b12 or something)

SAD is a debilitating illness that is bandied around by
students who sleep all day and who still watch Richard and
Judy as breakfast TV.

Exercise does really help. I've had loads more energy just
from running for half an hour a night.

i wouldn't say i'm quite that bad. my days start at 7.30 and
finish at 6.00

i'm not blowing my own trumpet, but i don't see myself as
'that' lazy... it's just i feel i'm trapped by tiredness.

not feeling sorry for myself. not feeling sorry for myself

I've always hated cigarettes and their inherent ickiness,
but I've seriously considered taking up smoking because of
the reputed ''theraputic effect'' on ulcerative colitis.
That's so appealing but smoking is sooooooo grosssss

Yeah I get that way to, as nearly everyone has mentioned
though. If you get real active, it gives you more energy.

Actually, you don't even need to run to get the "wake up"
effect. Walking with a bit of speed for half an hour is
enough. Of course, it's better to actually get physical, but
it could be easier to start out with a walk.

New research and still debatable, but not entirely unlikely.
They didn't find that vitamins as such reduced your
lifespan, though, only the pill-form ones (in other words,
fruit and just regular food is still good), and I think it
was mostly Betakaroten (I don't know how to spell this in
english, but I'm pretty sure it's quite similar. That's the
Norwegian spelling), vitamin A and vitamin E either
separately or with other antioxidants or whatever they're
called.

I think the best/coolest is jogging/running through wooded
areas. Nice and rugged and Zen. But sometimes I come across
kids that are drinking/getting high and they kill the mood
and make fun of me for joggin/running through wooded areas.

Yeah, I remember reading about 2 years back that certain
brands of vitamin suppliments had been found to be quite
carcinogenic and raised the chance of cancer quite
noticeably.

Of course, as you say, getting vitamins from fruit/veg is
fine.
