i can never quite get to know it properly, even after being
heavily played over these 13 years, but that's why it is so
great

You also think this. This is your opinion too.

But if you are trying to say that SAW 2 is better is a FACT,
how can it be fact? It is merely opinion.

SAW 85-92 often makes it into Top 100 / 200 / whatever
albums of all time (in magazines like Mojo, Q and the like),
whereas SAW 2 doesn't. But that's is other peoples opinion
as well.

because it's an unpopular and difficult album. our kids will
ashamed of themselves listening to neo-glitch-pop when you
give them saw to listen to.

SAWII is the crowning achievement of Richard D James.

SAW2 is two cds. That means saw1 has to be over twice as
good quality-wise to make up for the quantity of SAW2. I
don't think anyone will agree to this.

SAW 85-92 is twice as good, quality-wise, than any
other release by any other artist.

evil, dark

i think you d/l'd a bogus copy...

well, the first half is light and feel goody, not very
ambienty. while the second half is kind of stale and
broody, classic generic defintion of what ambient altogether
encompasses.

sawii tho, IS ambient and the shorter tracks
need to be longer than some of the longer tracks.

SAW 2 is an amazing album and i've been listening to it a
lot lately. Curtains is probably my favourite track
from it.

I love SAWI and II, but I find some of the tracks on the
second one a bit grating (like that track with the weird
flute melody going round and round, or some of the more
percussive tracks.) Maybe those work if you're in some
altered state of mind, but I don't find them very
atmospheric or enjoyable.
