Lets all show our appreciation for this great addition to
xltronic. With his upbeat and positive manner he does his
little part to make everyone on xltronic happy and joyful
each and every day! Praise be to the wonder
redrum..................

Three non-sarcastic howls for redrum!

- who has maintained his composure despite vicious,
merciless taunting

- who is Irish or something

- who poverty and tatters and hollow-eyed and high sat up
smoking in the supernatural darkness of cold-water flats
floating across the tops of cities contemplating jazz

He's learned, opinionated, as right as often as he's wrong,
a twat and a gent, a scholar and a mardy cunt, a two fisted
sensitive soul, a fighter and a lover, inconsistent,
reckless, spiteful, forgiving, racist liberal, handsome, bad
choice in hats, rakish good guy, all too human, member most
likely to join a terrorist cell.

Redrum is good, although sometimes he allows his passion to
distort his brain-functions. I like him.

I don't understand the third -

Redrum smokes too much, but other than that he's a good man.
He may benefit, as most of us would, from a more concrete
understanding of political matters (it'd make his critiques
hit harder I believe). I blame the media.

utterly inapt at communicating.

i found a bottle of skatole on a forgotten shelf once. oh
the wonderful things i could do with that. even touching the
lid makes your fingers smell like you ran em down your butt
crack.

Skatole or 3-methylindole is a mildly toxic white
crystalline organic compound with chemical formula C9H9N and
CAS number 83-34-1. The compound belongs to the indole
family and has a methyl substituent in position 3 of the
indole ring. It occurs naturally in feces (it is produced
from tryptophan in the mammalian digestive tract), beets,
and coal tar, and has a strong fecal odor.

oh, yeah, I think you mentioned that, didn't you? It's the
stuff called smørsyre (butter acid) in norwegian, I think.

haha no, butyric acid smells good compared to skatole.
synthesized butyric acid once, took the vial home with me.
went to a bar, dropped it, went home shortly afterwards
because noone wanted to come closer than 2 meters to me.

It's muted because of the collective feeling of sadness at
one of our own attempting to use sarcasm without a safety
net.

i feel sorry for the funky man, he's getting a lot of stick
lately. at times he doesn't deserve the collective ganging
up on him.

funkmaster: you do ask for it though and should know when to
stop, stand up high with your dignity out the pocket and
admit when you've been a bit silly.

It's not a collective ganging up. It's a series of
individuals who have no secret conspiracy to make him look
like a feeble-minded idiot.

it's often the same though, some people really have a
problem with someone, then two then 3 join in, next thing
half the board jumps on the bandwagon for the fun of it.
that's what i find a bit harsh.

i can see why you (for instance) get very annoyed though.
:)

Yeah -- I don't think people are jumping on the bandwagon
for the hell of it, though. As you indicated, he brings it
upon himself. There was no need to start this thread, or use
sarcasm in such an unfunny and heavy-handed manner.

for the fun of it

You can understand though, there's precious little
fun to be had.
