I'll Stay For You

BEST SONG I've EVER WRITTEN. I wrote the lyrics, I did the
production, I had a girl I know sing. It wasn't how I
imagined, so I had to structure a totally new rhythm and
beat around what she sent me back. This is R&B meets
electronica. I'm so excited. If I made this full length and
worked on my production a little more we could have
something hot here! PLEASE FEEDBACK.

Me and said chick definetly have some inspiration and stuff
to work on now. I don't think I've ever felt this "inspired"
to do music in my life.

I wanted to be rude and say the singing sounded like a small
boy trapped in a cupboard but the song is actually quite
nice.

Also, I think R&B already is R&B meets Electronica. It's
like saying RocknRoll meets the Blues. Or Trip Hop meets Hip
Hop.

Call me a bum, but I don't listen to popular stuff. So I
don't really think of R&B as sounding that way. I don't hear
modern stuff because I don't pay attention. I'm thinking of
older R&B. But you're right. I want to push the envelope on
the "electronica" part though. even though this doesn't come
close to doing that.

I was all ready to have a go at you being big
headed...however, having listened to the track, everything
you typed is fully justified. That girls vocals are fucking
great, the mood of the track is fucking great, and yes, if
you worked it into a full length track it could be really
fucking special.

Lovely stuff.

Don't talk to ME about full length tracks. :D

Thanks! I'll need to write some more lyrics, get her a
program to record more than 30 seconds with, and work out
some better "instrument" stuff. And it'll be a hit!

put the vocals more up front, but otherwise awesome! make it
a full length, but I say keep the space where you end it now
and make it hit slightly harder when it comes back!

have it done by the 10th of next month and I'll play it at a
party!

Sounds neat! The ravey-stabs work well with the vocals but
as mentioned earlier, I do think the vox need to be brought
forward in the mix a bit more.

But still, I like it. Definitely develop it.

It sounds good. dunno if its her shitty mic or whether you
EQed the vocal track but I think the singing deserves more
low freqs. Finish it tho! It can be a fatal mistake to share
it too early

I think it isn't very good. Not sure what everyone else is
hearing in this, maybe my tastes are waaaay off. I think
it could use some more music layers. the vocals are too
muffled and tinny. the beats are boring and too simple. i
mean a kick a snare and a hat? how bout 1 or 2 more drum
layers. I guess it could be the start of something better
with a lot more production, but right now, i'm not
impressed.
