What was your high score on the Spunky Monkey game again? I
can't find it in a search, but I think you said it was about
182 or thereabouts (couple of years back now). I just got
well past 1000 (and even then just gave up due to boredom
rather than dying)! Sadly when you get to 999, the score
counter just sticks, rather than extending to allow you to
get 4 figure scores, or using a special symbol to display
the first character (like Super Mario Brothers 1 does).

No special message/nothing is unlocked by it, what a gyp.
I've just given myself a certain case of RSI for nothing.

GC, but the game features in both GC & GBA versions. I've
not played the DS one.

Did you plan to get a Wii, Ceri? I can't remember.

^^

I really didn't like the sound/idea of them when they were
in development. As they got nearer to release date, I have
warmed to them more and more. I still stand by my original
statement that I thought they were a bit of a novelty rather
than a proper console, a predominantly "party game" machine;
IE a whole console where the best games/main focus would be
on simple multiplayer games, but I don't have such a problem
with this now I've played one.
I will get one for my birthday: I just ordered Warioware
Smooth moves for it today, as it happens.

I think 90% of my time on it will be spent on multiplayer
games. I'd say the main reason I like it is because of what
a disappointment the 360 and ps3 are. At least the wii
allows something new; all the games I've seen on the other
two are really just xbox games with better graphics. Seeing
as I don't have a HD tv, even the graphical improvement will
be limited.

I remember you played the GBA one lots and bought a
freeloader to play the GC one. I must admit, I've not played
the GC one as much as the GBA one. I was just getting some
practice in before Wariowar smooth moves arrives.

Dannn_, I remember you really liked Warioware too.

What are your favourite minigames, gentlemen?

You speak the truth in the second part of your post. I'll
buy Wario Ware Smooth moves too anyway, it must be really
fun to play it with a Wiimote in your hand! I really liked
the one that came out on DS as well, wicked.

I'm currently playing with Zelda on my Wii, it's magic. At
moment I can't remember if you used to appreciate Zelda in
general, but I recommend it for sure.

I've always thought the Zelda games were good, but I also
didn't enjoy them quite as much as popular opinion would
suggest I should. The only ones I really played a lot of
were the second one on the N64 and the second one on the
NES. The original GBA one was okay too, but I didn't play it
for more than a few hours.

I've played the new Wii one and it's one of the best yet
imo, but even in the half hour or so I played it, I had that
familiar sensation of my attention wandering, failing to
connect with the characters and feeling as if the pace was
too slow.

i really like that black and white one where you have to
catch the little circular thing on legs with tweezers

I know the one you mean, I think it's called "Chicken
Pinch". That's my favourite of the "press the right time to
grab it" games.

Indeksical, that's on the GBA version too.

Dannn_: My apologies, it appears that's the second time
today that my memory has been wrong.
