Hmm, I am a bit disappointed that I made a post which subsequently got labeled as spam and then deleted.  I am not going to whine here but it seems odd that posting a link to ones mixes and in turn offering free hosting can get get you booted off a forum.  One person made an attempt look into my mixes but....
Anyway I am sure a slew off slagging posts will follow... in the future I might just offer pay hosting with heaps of advertisements, maybe that might just entice some of you, who knows!

Actually, not deleted but somewhat ignored. I would have thought that free hosting for your sets and original music would have be welcomed.... I am in no way trying to spam or collect email addresses, simply trying to get more music out there....
Do with it what you will!

people tend to ignore threads by people they don't know.
it generally works better to post a bit before expecting people to jump on your threads.
"spam" here doesn't necessarily mean you're trying to collect e-mail addresses and/or make money in some way, the more malicious kind of those threads tend to get closed/deleted.
posting music you made or a mix you made is what primarily is called spam here - quite a few members just aren't interested in what people are making. in general, it's not viewed as a negative term, really.

Also you have to cross the flaming witch's ass crack with a can of camel syrup balanced on your nose before you are given your tribal subincision and Xltronic Val-U-Savr™ card.

I almost have 8000 posts and I have a hard enough time spamming.

No worries, I get the etiquette just not the negativity. If you don't want to check it then don't, fair enough. Just thought I would give it a go. Anyway no harm done here and thanks for taking the time explain, it's appreciated.

You got flamed. Its part of the internet. Complaining about its about as usefull as complaining about the rain. Not really negative or positive.

look at your server stats if you can..
in spam threads where theres maybe 8 or 9 replies, there's still something like 20 or 30 downloads, even though my music sucks balls
