LAZY_AUTOBOT

what do you think? will it great or just another bad
cartoon-to-movie production?

Hmmm... I'm very afraid that it's going to be extremely
dissapointing.

storywise this will probably be disapointing. but the cgi
looks fucking cool though.

LOOKS awesome!!

It'll be as good as those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
flicks. I've never seen those, and don't want to either. No
matter how great shit looks, it'll always smell like shit.

That looks awesome. Loosen up people. Its not all lost in
translation.

it'll be as good as pearl harbour, bad boys II or the
island.

I always think there is a possibility this will be okay
until I remember michael bay is doing it

I hope it'll be better than DOOM though. Or was it named
DOOM3? It was the first flick (and still is), but it was
made after the 3rd game. :s Anyways, I don't know and don't
want to either. It's desastrous mentioning DOOM three times
already, in one post.....in a thread about the forthcoming
Transformers movie.

And a big WTF to Spielberg and Bay too. WTF!

The story of Doom III was basicly an updated version of Doom
I, so....

Ah, yes. Thank you Dirty for clearing that up...

Personally, I hate the whole concept of CGI'd transformers
between real actors. It should be an either..or kind of
thing. They either build real transformers and make that
smart enough so they can play their roles along human
actors, or the entire movie is one big CGI wank-fest. This
best of both-worlds thing just doesn't cut it. I mean, it
won't.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2006-12-21 06:31 [#02020047]

You know this is just gonna be a whole bunch of scenes
you've seen before, they even got 'token straight talking
government/military guy' glenn morshower, who appears as the
same character in the island, black hawk down, pearl
harbour, the core etc... despicably attractive young couple
somehow intrinsicly involved (word to deep impact), the
likkle girl wiv da likkle cuddly toy awwww OH WAIT fuck
theres a massive [spider/robot/japanese fighter pilot/centre
of the earth stopped spinning/meteor/fucking whatever]...
yeah well fuck off michael bay, i know im going to pay to
watch this and then hate myself

The little girl in the end of the trailer is carrying a "My
Little Pony"...My Little Pony is courtesy of Hasbro who also
own the rights for Transformers...coincidence? I think not

Am I the only one who finds Megan Fox quite hot?

One day, not far from now, a 'new' movie will be made
entirely of old footage. Much like DJ Shadow's sampling
madness. And people will be soaking it up just like all the
other new movies.

Sounds like some dirty old porn-flick.
Porn-flicks don't count. Porn is always way ahead of the
rest of the entertainment industry. It's in an entirely
different league, so please leave it out.

No, it's this old japanese movie which new voiceovers, and
some guy animated into it, so the movie turns into a
hilarious (imo) comedy.
looky

I think that Shogun Assassin film was pieced together from
scenes from a couple of older Lone Wolf & Cub films too

First Ninja Turtles movie was awesome.

Transformers will be a bad film, but I wouldn't have it any
other way. I can't wait. I just hope they have Frank Welker
to do Megatron's voice.

even the trailer's awful, the only thing it was missing was
the stereotypical 'deep voice' for the "that was the only
warning we got"

'we' being america, i.e. the world.

it looks like they told the CG people

"do as many moving parts as possible - that's what
cool is all about!"

where you can see all the insane detail.

yeah, it's probably got some sort of "awe" factor, but.. I'd
still prefer a stop-motion movie with those old transformers
toys they used to sell.. that would be a great movie!

Stop motion with the original toys - yeah! I'm all for that
as long as the chocolate wins in the end.

died before hitting double figures

If you ever watch the cartoon without letting the nostalgia
cloud your perspective, you might notice that its crappy
entertainment of the finest degree. I am sure it will not be
hard for the film to reach the same level of quality.
