I have been thinking about asking for some earbud
headphones for christmas to use with my mp3 player cause I'm
sick of toting around my big on-ear ones. I was thinking
about sennheiser CX300's, but they seem to be expensive
around here ($70 compared to $55 on amazon).

Does anyone have experience with these? Also, what are some
good alternatives in the range of $50-$70?

Bad experience with ear buds, every pair I get, the left or
right slowly cancels out over time. I think it may be
because of the cord though, I have really bad luck with
cords. I'll walk through a door, and the headphone cord will
catch on the knob and rip them off my head... everytime.

Hmm, i've had my headphones catch stuff on the bus once in a
while, but not bad enough to damage them yet. I just can't
be bothered to keep carrying these huge ones around any
longer, they're just a pain in every way possible, except
that they sound pretty good.

I got Shure earbuds. They're a bit more expensive, but the
cords are as thick as the prize so to speak. If you're
willing to spend around 100 you've got yourself a set with
nice thick cords.
Those cords which are used normally are just ridicuously
thin. They almost snap if you look at them.

i'm mostly worried about comfort as i'll be wearing them for
long periods sometimes, and also i don't want them to fall
out of my ears. any problems so far? also, how do they
sound?

wearing those earbuds is similar to wearing those yellow
isolation things you put in your ears. the only difference
is there's a canal through which the sound from your
earphones go.
personally, i had to get used to them. i wasn't used to
stuffing things in my ears. but i got used to them pretty
quick. and they wont fall out. i still don't like walking on
the streets with them in my ears though. but i didn't like
that with normal (non in-ear) buds either.

earbuds always fall out of my ears. so i got those ones that
actually stick into your ear with plastic attachments. the
amount of earwax on them is disgusting.

yeah! they never stay in my ears. actual headphones are way
better.

although when you have them with an mp3 player or something,
the battery will last much longer with earphones than with
headphones due to their much lower resistance.

personally i haven't had any problems with earbuds at all,
out of all the pairs i've owned over the years.

unless you're going for a jog, they should be able to stay
in your ears.

tho i have to admit i've always been afraid of wearing
proper headphones in the street in case ppl think i'm trying
to be all hardcore and shit

(which obviously i'm not)

hehe.

i probably should BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT!!!
:P
