More Burial goodness

Burial has done an awesome mix of Jamie Woon's "Wayfaring
Stranger". No word on a release date yet it seems, but i'm
guessing early in the new year. Check it out here.

Oh BTW, that Jamie Woon track "Tolerate" is also awesome.

The single-sided release of Wayfaring Stranger can be bought
here. 100 copies only, but I just want the Burial
mix in truth!

It really is a fantastic track. I fear I may have overplayed
it recently so it is beginning to lose its appeal slightly,
but it is undeniably stunning.

I bought the MP3's and I bought it on vinyl. Jamie Woon is
also a really nice guy.

I thought it was 500 copies?

I have one. The Jamie Woon track is alright (not really my
sort of music, but it's done well). I don't think the Burial
remix is his best work, but it's certainly worth having.

This topic is quite old and the link in my top post has
changed to the official release now.

It originally linked to the single-sided promo which just
had Jamie Woon's "Wayfaring Stranger" on it, without the
other mixes.

I do wish I could find an MP3 of Tolerate though. That blows
Wayfaring Stranger out of the water. I'd also love to hear
what Burial could do with it.

Burial - Burial (the album) is getting a 12" release.
Allegedly limited edition (IE the CD will remain unlimited).

Far more importantly, the finished version of "Unite" gets
its premiere showcase on a new dubstep compilation called
"Box of Dub" and is released later this month. I heard the
final version on the Mary Anne Hobbs show last week and it
really is one of the best tracks i've heard all year (and
last if you include the myspace rinsing I gave it). The
other artists on the compilation are great too (skream, dmz
etc) so it is definitely one to look out for.

Damn. I've just spent £100 on dubstep this month already,
but the finished version of Unite is a "must have". Got a
link to info on this compilation?

Never mind, I've found it. Available on 12" too.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Been looking forwards
to having a vinyl copy of unite for a long time.

The 2nd album is in progress. Apparently to be released at
the end of the year. If Unite is anything to go by, I think
it will be another classic.

Burial is untouchable at the moment.
