Oh, God, should I be doing this? I don't know. Either way, it's funny as hell. You can laugh with me or laugh at me. As long as you are laughing.

hahahaha!
boost the low frequencies on your voice
if there aren't any, overdub yourself singing one octave lower, then lower the volume on that and boost frequencies.

The beat and bass/guitar thing is great. The vocal needs work.
Is it pitched up?
Loose the irony. Only people who are scared do something with irony. Put your heart into it!
Listen to the slow jams of Keith Sweat, Isaac Hayes and Roger and Zapp for inspiration.
I'm pretty exited to hear what youll end up with this one!
Actually, keep me noted when it's finished, i might want to remixxx it.

The beats are some I made with the FPC in FL. The chords are with the DX10 plug-in. The guitar was just a regular acoustic guitar. The words were totally improvised just now.
Oh man, I want to do a serious version of this. :D

You really really really really really should!!! I always wanted to do something like this, because i have an odd love for the genre.
Some inspiration for you
It's a guilty pleasure this kind of music.
But work on making the sounds more "rich".
I'm really, seriously very curious about what you will come up with.
Good luck!

haha.. this is awesome! throw alittle compression and a little reverb on yer vocals and it'll make it beefy punchy and have that polished sound.
I like the live sounds in the background like the door opening... makes me think you left the room.

Swift_jams, it's great.
Though, what you need is a saxophone. And a sweet, sweet womans voice whispering in the background.
And do that thing DM told you. :)
"overdub yourself singing one octave lower, then lower the volume on that and boost frequencies."
Yeah!
Oh! and, and, and add a little stereo-sound to your voice to make it a little bit more "encompassing"!
Now, come on, make a full track - and be serious about it.
Barry White, beware ...
