Surely some of you must've heard balinese music!
It's goddamn incredible! Those deep gongs resonates to your core, man! :)
Anyway, so does anyone have a recommendation of some balinese music that makes you shiver - in delight?

It's mad, mate, when they raise the tempo of those ancient drums, it feels as if you're about to pop.
I found a site where you can listen to some jegog.
Jegog _____________________________________ "Huge bamboo tubes...some 10 feet long... were tuned to an exotic Balinese scale. The musicians launched into an amazing, rhythmic performance filled with an earthy, resonant, rainbow of sound. I WAS HOOKED.
Jegog is some of the most uninhibited, raw village music I've ever heard....Imagine 20 Hindu musical masters playing bamboo xylophones of various sizes, wailing in the tropical breeze on the mystical isle of Bali. Discover a celebration of festive bamboo music with Jegog." - from the site
Ten feet long bamboo tubes ... Now doesn't that sound inviting? :D

Gamelan pacifica is great!
"Peaches of Immortality" and "Gending Erhu" from the Trance Gong-record are masterpieces.

timor is part of indonesia i guess..try finding stuff from these people; tari woleka (uses gongs as well), tarian gong, tari likurai (the piece on this compilation is some tribal drums).
i was at susie ibarra's gig past weekend, she uses the kulintang gongs as well, so maybe try finding some of her stuff..i think she has a few releases on tzadik.
