I'm not 100% sure if this style would appeal to many of
you, but I thought I'd throw it out there... I released a
split CD on Hive records last month with Depth Error AKA
Matt Green under my EDGEY moniker.

Clips are here: http://www.hiverecords.com/

CD's are here:
http://www.thoughtbludgeon.com

glitched out dnb breakcore power noise...

here's the promo blurb:

Edgey vs Depth Error - The Abuse Technique [HIV.23]

» Two immense names in the hard electronics scene bare
their teeth and enter a cold concrete cell armed with
sledgehammers and fists wrapped in barbed wire. This CD
records the brutality as beats as hard as a brick to the
teeth claw for dominance over 14 tracks of destroyed
rhythms, rumbling sub bass undercurrents, and split-knuckle
hammering breaks.

One of the most prolific producers in the hard electronix
scene, Edgey needs no introduction. His releases on Hands
Productions, Black Monolith, DHR, and Reduced Phat showcase
an impressive talent for smashing bits of industrial,
breakcore, darkstep, ambient, and powernoise into a sound
wholly his own. Depth Error is none other than Matt Green,
UK's hardcore legend. The Depth Error project shows Matt
expanding his palette to include breaks and impossibly dense
sound structures coupled with deep bass swells and frenetic
BPM changes. Massive and tirelessly frantic, this CD is an
amazing addition to the Hive discography, and we are very
pleased to bring it to the public.

I don't write the promo copy .. nope.

My idea of promotional wording is "this shit is noisey..

it?"

If all else fails, I offer this:

ALTHOUGH! we did roll up to this party some years back,
with a sledgehammer over my shoulder. We had lots of
fun. Smashing bits of old tape decks and cd players while
vsnares played in the other room (oddly enough in an
icerink). Oh.. and there was watermelon.

I also recall drinking piss warm red stripe from an un-iced
keg in a broom closet... and someone scratching records
"without their hands", AND I think someone played the
slipmat... cchhhchhchhhhzhzhzzzzttttchchh

That reminds me of Alec Empire slitting his wrists on the
turntable, because the blood gave it extra noise... fuck.

I just did a show with him at CBGB's (r.i.p.) a few months
back for a CD release party.

Alec Empire, Hecate, Enduser, Edgey...

,...was good times.

See, I wouldn't normally like "this sort of thing" but that
little story has piqued my interest. I think you should do
your own press.

Awesome!!! I was really into the whole DHR thing at one
point. Especially Patric Catani.

I could try and write my own press, but phonetically
describing glitchy breakcore gets tiring on the fingers.
:)

Further example of silliness, couple weeks back I played at
this festival in chicago... One of the bands covered
himself in gay porn, stuffed a rubber chicken down his pants
and taped a micrphone to his face. ...nope, wasn't
doormouse.

OH! but that reminds me! I did a show with him up in Rhode
Island... he stripped down to his boxers (not unlike mister
shitmat.. but that story can wait til another time), and
shoved the mic down his undies.. and proceeded to air-fuck
the monitors. Sexual feedback?!

hmm..

...if one is judged by the company he keeps, I suppose I'm
in trouble.

I don't think you should phonetically describe glitchcore,
that's what I was getting at, I like the little personal
stories about warm beer and what was going on in the other
room far more than "DJ Scud Tits and MORMON go head to head
in a cyber hacksaw battle, sawing beats off of each others
brain pads in an electro sodomy that encompasses The
Industrial Revolution, Veganism and E! Entertainment etc
etc"

That said, I still need to listen to the musics.

At least you have fun in gigs! I've never, ever enjoyed a
gig, even if the crowd (apparently) have. I get too nervous
and obsessed with what I'm doing to even consider the crowd,
and if they actually *did* enjoy the show, it's lost on me.
