i'm glad someone else loves this album. i don't like blur's
other songs at all, but this is one amazing piece of music.
a masterpiece. i love how all the blur fans hate it, yet
it's their best album.

by far... an amazing album. i dunno whether even blur
themselves like it... they never toured it which was a shame

this was my intro to blur after borrowing it off a friend.
i fell in love with it straight away. i like their old pop
now too now that i've listened to it properly. the back
half of 13, battle onwards, is great. so is the first half
actually. i can't stand b.l.u.r.e.m.i. though. this is
probably my most hated song ever!!! i found it's also the
most popular album in 2nd hand stores:) those silly
bri-poppers.

b.l.u.r.e.m.i is a bit shit, the album production is
fantastic tho, and its just set out really amazingly :)

Blur should be hung, drawn and quartered for their intrusion
into my audio space over the last ten years.

well I've always prefered Blur to Oasis, but I'm not into
this kind of things...and william orbit has lost his mind
since he has started producing everything from mel b to all
saints...I like only his work with Madonna. It's much more
serious and interesting!

offline jonesy from Lisboa (Portugal) on 2002-03-13 10:30 [#00123950]

I think the tracks he did with All Saints were good. Mel B,
ahem.

i love that song called songII ( i guess that´s what it´s
called) - that one really rocks ... maybe i should take a
listen to that 13 album (i don´t like them usually)

Tender sounds like a rip-off of Come Together by
Spirirtualised

I love 13. Their best work by far. Coffee & TV was what
got me into it, the video with that little milk carton.

perhaps im jaded, but i still think parklifewas their best
effort, and recentstuff has been a bit average in myopinion.
What happenned to the clever lyrics? "Dont bomb when you're
the bomb"... errr

ever heard of a dirge? not all songs are built around pop
structure, or require meaningful lyrics.

that album is the only cd ive heard by blue and liked
somewhat (i also heard the self titled which was alright i
guess). i havent heard any blur cds in so long that I cant
honestly remember any of it.

...were?

i don't know, i've just got 13 and parklife.

i especially like 13; parklife is good but a
bit too poppy for me...

i used to know them best ages ago, when parklife was just
out. those were the days.......

I'm not a Blur fan but I did have stolen Parklife tape frrom
the librrarry... I can only rrememberr being almost
physically sick at the song 'Clover over Dover', so I snook
in and put it back wherre I'd taken it frrom.

Nice topic. This is really the only album I like. Haven't
heard the last one, though. ThinkTank or something? Are they
still making music as a band?

i dont actually know if they are still going or not!
parklife and the great escape were the only two albums i
owned, both were good

Too poppy for me. Damon A is working with his
Gorillaz-project, and the guitar-player has releases a
solo-album I think...

hey. i used to be a blur fan. i loved this album when i was
loving their other stuff too so take that. i rarely listen
to them but i still have heaps of respect for them and their
songs, some of them are still awesome (imo).

um, yeah, theyre still together, but without graham coxon
and with damon albarn getting high in the charts with
gorillaz, they have little direction, and apperantly their
new stuff has been lazy college rock stuff....
