no this is the funky remix Rob Hubbard (i hope he's family)
made of the arcade version for Commodore 64!

you can read this here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commando_%28arcade_game%29

i just spend half an hour inverstegating to add this to that
article:
*[http://commandoftw.ytmnd.com/ The opening screen],
including the version of the theme by Rob Hubbard (for the
commodore 64) at [http://ytmnd.com/ ytmnd]
but ytmnd is blacklisted at wikipedia. this opening screen
probably copyrighted anyway

only 3 voices: the second voice consisting of stuttery beeps
and the bass make a funky background groove

omg this stadium rock track Neuromancer_Intro.sid (including
a depeche mode like choir and a scorpions singer singing) is
insane!

search for and download the hi voltage sid collection and be
cured for this c64-music tendency forever

note that one .sid can be a whole soundtrack, with display
you can scroll through more tracks in one file

wiki writes about last ninja (1, i guess i prefer 2):
Originally designed for Commodore 64, its was music composed
by Ben Daglish and Anthony Lees on the SID chip that set the
game apart from the other conversions. Featuring 11
full-length songs, each lasting between 2 and 5 minutes
(when most games for the C64 had only one or two tunes).
This equals 35 kb, lol.
