With all the Boc talk on this board, I rarely ever here the
Hi Scores EP mentioned. I think it's great, I like it
better than Geogaddi myself. Anyone else?

i really like 'hi socres' and 'everything you do is a
balloon'.
the only song that i don't really like much on it is 'june
9th'.

offline TrevorGod from Toronto (Canada) on 2002-03-13 00:11 [#00123493]

Same here... I don't care for 'June 9th' much. However it's
all relative because if I heard that track on any other
artists album I would think it was great.

just payed a pretty penny at ebay, but at this point i'm
just happy to have everything you do is a balloon on cd ...

I've wondered... I think Hi Scores is 'freely available' on
CD, yet I've never seen it in a shop.
Could somebody clarify the availability of the CD? Cos I
really want it [along with Maxima, Twoism, Hooper Bay,
etcetera...]

High Scores KICKS ASS

i love nlogax. its so out of place... it sounds like a pop
song startig... but then it goes all nuts, and by the end
you're like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

everything you do is a ballon is one of my Fav BoC tracks
ever

i have it on CD.

didnt know it was rare until a few months after i got it.

it was rereleased... but not on a mass scale... so it is
less rare then before... but still kinda rare

it's my least favorite BoC release that I've heard, and I've
heard most of the available stuff... Hi Scores, and
Everything You Do Is a Balloon rank with their best songs,
but the others just don't do much for me... Turquoise
Hexagon Sun is also killer, but I don't count it as it's
also on MHTRTC...

hi scores was the first song by them i heard. i had woke up
and suddenly school is cancelled because of the snow! i got
that and everything you do is a balloon from napster after
it was recommended to me. i couldn't stop playing the songs!
all i did that whole day was play majora's mask and look out
the window while listening to those songs. i'll never forget
that day, it truly felt like they became a part of me. haha
i sound pathetic. but what better memory to have of them?

offline loaderror from kansas city (United States) on 2003-02-28 18:06 [#00575103]

mind you i own geogaddi, beautiful place, music htrtc and
twoism now, and I put the BoC sticker from twoism on my car
bumper. if it wasn't for music sharing i would probably
still be listening to tool or something. but that's a whole
other story

Stellar EP! Skam was wise to re-issue it again, as some of
Boards' best tracks are on this EP...

:)

the title track is really something special to me... the
first "IDM" music I got into was boc, my boss at work almost
forced me to borrow MHTRTC right after it came out (I was
already a little into afx), it opened new and insightful
doors for me, and because of this I've discovered a world of
music unlike anything I've ever imagined... music which is
pushes beyond the imagination... and thats why I love it

great ep although i never grasped why the drum intro to
nlogax (i think) had to be so long and tedious

june 9th

I like this one alot, but its annoying that they reused
songs from twosim and high scores on their full lengths, I
dont care for I think the 3rd track I think on high scores,
which ever the one is that has the same beat for like more
than a minute its borring and unoriginal.

Yes you do. Skam doesn't pump 1000s of albums a day, you
know...

Have fun when you get it.

I was under the impression that it was extremely rare, then
I saw it in newbury comics and bought it immidiatly,
thinking i was just really lucky. Turns out it's not so
rare after all, but I still don't regret buying it on a
whim.
