Probably because you're quite vulnerable while drinking. Every time I listen to this album I realize again how awesome it is. One thing that is so great about it is that it is so incredibly distinct. And still, no one has tried to imitate it like his other great stuff. |

the guy is such a genius that it makes me sick. seriously: mookid? in my opinion, people don't nearly say enough about how aphex's music captures nostalgia. Mookid was for a long time my favorite track. I love how organic it feels. The calls that sound like whales are completely original and don't really fit into the music, but help further the track from the mechanical. Honestly cow cud twin(I think) is the only track I can't shower with religous praises, probably because its only relatively worse than the other tracks, but not a bad track at all. Its possible that I have a strange affinity for this album because I just bought it randomly(from an amazon recommendation on buying Hail to the Theif) and it pushed me into electronic music, but I have listened to this by far more than any other album and it never gets old. |
