Hahah. I can just imagine you at a retirement home thinking, "dang, that track cygnus posted, i wonder that track of Untitled that track resembled?"
Then you will somehow dig up the track, listen to it and die a happy man.

your songs are like 90% kickdrums.. maybe you should try focusing on other instruments at times? In fact, try doing a song without percussion at all... in my experience the occasional challenge will only help your skill along. That aside, this song makes me think more of aphex than autechre, and it's enjoyable, but you need to do something more with it.. as I said, challenge yourself a few times.

First let me say that I really like the beginning and the latter parts for reasons ill explain in a second, but like Drunken said I think you used the same kick sound too much. Perhaps changing up the kick a bit more (meaning the actually hit sound itself, not tempo) would take away its somewhat overbearing strength. Reason I liked the beginning is Im imediately interested by the spastic time signature to see how it will flucuate over time, but I do think it falls apart and regains itself at somewhat predictable points, which may or may not be a good thing...second the way the pads wash over towards the end add a nice contrast to the sputtering melodies that build then collapse. Over all I like the track, which programs do you use?

theres something about this track i dont like i quite put my finger on. at the same time, its somewhat a good track and theres something i like about it (epsicially the first half).
as for the autechre references, this track doesnt really stink of it or anything, though as the track does kinda drag on during the middle it did remind me of it. not that theres anything wrong with that,. good work : )

drunkenmastah: yeah, you are right. but, i dont know. i guess thats just what im into hearing or something.. its not weird to me that the kick is the same all the way through and that its really strong/loud. i did some cool stuff using that izotope program that gives you all kind of funky mastering tools... so i made the track sound like it was made in 1980 and put on cassette tape, the kick was so fucking nasty and like oldschool raw i almost went outside and shot somebody
diaz: like i said to DM, i guess i dont just personally mind the kick being all crazy in-your-face like that, i mean its diggable as far as my tastes go. its just a prefernce thing i suppose. i used ableton live 5 and some sounds i recorded from my machinedrum and nord lead, had to clean them up though
pigster; yeah it needs mad work before it goes on CD i agree, thanks for listening guys!
