nice, seems like early 90's IDM

the video could be a hand drawn rocket going around the
universe, bumping into planets and aliens along the way.

IDM?

It's meant to be house. I did it with my mate Gaz, BTW.

quite pleasant little house-y number, like it a lot! very
cool panning and nice hi-hat sounds. I'm a sucker for
squares. the vocals are suitably cheesy.

offline staz on 2006-10-31 13:54 [#01995875]

I'm upping its status from "quite pleasant" to "really
cool".

also, hook me up with a proper mp3 version.

Cheers, dunno about that MP3, me and my mate might be
releasing a 12' with a version of this...I'd have to see
what he thinks.

I actually found an mp3 version on there, ha. Not the best
quality, though.

haha good catch, maybe he mean a 12", i think its a record
of some sort, dunno :)

ok, eyeah, its more housey than idm i suppose, but house
bothers the heck out of me, so that was my point

swears, have you released other 12"s by the way?
id be interested in this one if the price is right.

Really good, like it a lot, if this came on the radio I'd be
listening out to see if the halfwit presenter got round to
mentioning who the track was by so I could seek it out. Then
I'd go "Space Jam" ? What an awful name, terrible. But then
people might like that, so don't listen to this old fart.

Shit, I even thought about the whole '/" thing. I thought '
was inches and " was feet. Whatevs.

Nope, this would be a debut release.

staz: It's 128, glad I've had a couple of nice comments
anyway. :)

Ah, the _belch thumbs up, always a good sign.
It's called "Space Jam" because we were discussing songs
named after films, like Alex Reece's "Pulp Fiction". And we
thought what would be a really cheesy film to name it after,
but still have a good title?

Right, it makes me think of "jamming" and some of the worst
b-sides from some of the Indie stars of yesteryear, I
immediately think of "Mellow Jam" (B-side to Blur's
"Tender"), "Funky Jam" (B-side to Primal Scream's "Rocks")
and I'm sure one of the b-sides of "Love Spreads" (Stone
Roses) was a jam.

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaam

Last night I saw the worst film ever on TV, Air Strike,
a possibility?

I rented this DVD for $1 as a weekly, and I still feel
ripped off. I cannot imagine the production company made a
profit from this film? I hope DEJ productions make a better
film next time.

Also, it looks bad when they use poor computer animation for
some of their helicopter scenes.

lol

I don't want to derail this thread, as "Space Jam" seriously
is a great track. But that film, watch it, watch it. It's
just cliche after cliche, militaristic jingoism with an
ending featuring fist pumping troops grunting "USA! USA!"..
yet when the credits roll, everyone who worked on it has a
Russian name... so it's either a grand pisstake or.. just
bad.

Whereas "Space Jam", the potential 12' single, is a jewel in
the sonic crown.

haha, it's not really my kind of thing normally, but this is
funky goodness non the less! I have a sound that would fit
perfectly into it somewhere in the middle. It's a sound
produced by flexing one of those see-through cd shaped
thingies that you get when you buy cd-rs or dvd-rs or
whatever in those spindles

Great stuff.

Oh, you mean your song 'Space Jam'.. well it's good too

:)

no but seriously I LOVE certain moments of this.. 1:45 where
it picks up and then everything after 3:00 .. well, it's
just damn good house music.. makes me feel like playing
some epic pick up b-ball with looney tunes and MJ. I
thought it was gonna be a groaner when it was just starting,
but I should have known ol' swears and his great taste would
bring it all together.. Well done buddy!

Or what about some vocals? Maybe something in the line of:

I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate
said "fresh" and it had a dice in the mirror. If anything I
could
say that this cab was rare But I thought "Nah forget it, yo
home to bel-air!" I pulled up to a house about seven or
eight and I yelled to the cabby "yo, home smell you later".
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there to sit on my
throne as the prince of bel-air.

Shoot me.

I can't remotely imagine anything that someone who creates
