I used the BUY NOW! option on eBay and used PayPal,
thinking the transaction would be more-or-less
instantaneous... so a few days later I'm wondering where the
hell my goods 'n' feedback are, so I check my paypal
account, and it's telling me it takes at least a week! Is
there any way of speeding this up? I'm in the process of
Confirming my Address but I don't know if this speeds things
up or not...

'echeck' takes time to clear; other options are instant.
What is the status of the transaction in your paypal account
(completed, unreceived, etc). The transaction can still be
instant without a confirmed address but the seller might not
want to ship to an unconfirmed address.

Confirming your address won't speed things up. Are you using
a credit card in your paypal account? That will.

Well I registered my debit card, which is why I thought it
would be quick! I might as well have sent cheques or P.O.s
QQ

I can see that. And besides leaving out any info that might
actually help him, your doing an awesome job.

I'm kidding. You kind of gave him some advice that could be
usefull. It was just a little vague and took three times as
much typing as I did.
