hmm.. is this something like re-wire?
if so, as long as your apps support re-wire, it should be ok. if not, you may just have to render from the other apps and import into one sequencer thing or something...

I'm trying to record the output of some silly free program that doesn't have a render option and I can't get any of the freecorder type programs to record internally? What do use to record radio streams etc?

hmm
it probably depends on your soundcard.
With some soundcards, the windows audio properties thingie has a strip called "what u hear" and some have "stereo mix" while others have something called "wav" that allows you to record audio produced internally on the computer. if so, you should be able to find it by opening windows audio properties (it's usually in the taskbar or whatever it's called), then clicking options (or whatever, mine's in norwegian), the readio box that says "record" and looking at those checkboxes for something that looks like it'll let you monitor internal audio. then you probably have to enable it and select it for recording or something.
if you don't have that, you could use a jack-jack cable and just do a loop. or use a minidisc/tape or something like that.

I normally use the technique that mastah mentioned if the apps don't support rewire, works fine.

I always do it that way too. Works every time, though typically the recording level needs to be down pretty low.

the only problem with it is that not all soundcards has it
I have an e-mu soundcard (if you're ever getting a new pro soundcard, they're great!), so I have to use that mixer that comes with it, and to be able to record wave output I have to create a send from the main channel that goes to a wave in strip that doesn't play itself back out and stuff like that... some cheaper soundcards don't have the option at all.
