perhaps the hits in the middle row (i think these are the
first tom hits?) should move up one block to the right, then
it's pretty accurate

x or - = 1 step in a 16 step measure.

see the difference between sampling something and redoing it
is that at least with sampling you have the balls to admit
you ripped something off

It could also be considered like this: when you're sampling
something you're too lazy to learn how to do it yourself, so
you'd rather copy it.

And it's not always about ripping things off. About every
musician alive has redone something another artist has done
before them, it's just about doing what you want to.

there's a difference between what you're asking for and
asking for a drum tab of a song so you can make the same
beat.

and again asking for drum tabs i think falls under the
category of "too lazy to learn how to do it yourself"

I suppose you can't do tabs for "mad fucked up breakz",
though Drunken_M did have a stab there.

I haven't asked for anything, I'm just helping out. And even
if he's got the same "tabs" it won't sound the same at all.
I do believe you can learn by looking at tabs.

Whats up with "*" all over the place?
Does it mean something to anyone, or is it like a cult, and
a devil thing, where we are supposed to cut ourselves...

I think this is it:

Ka, budum, kaaahhhh.
Ka, budum, kaahhhhh.
And so on.

Really, it's quite simple.
