first posted at twoism forum.

here's a small review of this night's events. I hope mr. 103
can contribute some pics soon.

rawakari vs kadah/vresky: good. glitchy, sharp stabbing
breaks and punchy bass. though a bit too random and chaotic
too start the evening off with, imo.

kettel vs secede: started off by anouncing they were going
to play some acid. This was nice but nothing spectacular.
Their set was quite sloppy and got a bit boring towards the
end. Couldnt decide wether secede was a boy or a girl (just
checked on website and it's a dude). Likes to wear girls
clothing apparently.

vector lovers: by this time i had suddenly lost all my
energy and got sleepy so i didnt catch the entire set but
what i heard was very nice.

dat politics: having seen them before i knew this was going
to be good and it was. They do an incredibly energetic set
of strange electro, live keyboard banging, effects box
slamming, knob twiddling and hysteric shouting. Mad. See
them when you get a chance.

eight frozen modules: in a way, the most interesting set of
the night. Technical glitch madness so intense people had to
cover their ears from time to time. He's a funny looking guy
on stage, pulling weird faces as he twiddles knobs to create
sounds that are seemingly able to demolish any speakerset.
Some of it was so high pitched i just couldnt believe it was
possible for the speakers to produce. Chaotic, loud,
extreme, absolutely awesome.

karl marx stadt: surprise of the day! never heard of this
dude before. Wore a melt banana tshirt and looked a bit like
a mad professor. And mad it was. Not entirely fair but if i
had to compare him to anyone it would be vsnares or
doormouse, but much more enjoyable than snares. The guy went
absolutely mental and the crowd (except for kettel who was
sitting a few chairs next to me yelling stuff like 'RUBBISH'
and other crap. Stupid bastard) enjoyed this great breakcore
set a lot. Recommended!

The visuals (projected on 6 huge screens on 3 walls) were
excellent and really

added to the atmosphere.

overall, panoptica was for the 3rd time a fantastic festival
and i will be going again next year, no matter the lineup.

p.s: sorry for the horrible writing. I feel like i drank
gasoline and ate cigarettes.. ugh.

Also, Reimer, if you read this, care to give us some of your
opninions? I could have asked you myself but you seemed
awfully busy with your 2 mates. I was thinking of asking if
you made that tune 'pinch of peer' all by yourself, because
it's astoundingly good and it could have saved your set
perhaps.

You already know that Pinch of Peer is a Kettel only song,
right?

no i don't.

how could we ever know? The melody is almost perfect. The
song is almost too good. If it is indeed entirely his own
creation then i commend him for it and hope he'll make more
music up to that standard.

You already heard the song in my Best of 2004 selection,
remember?

Through Friendly Waters:
All tracks conspired and produced by Reimer Eising.

actually both kettel and secede had a horrible crash and had
to make the most of it. i had a little chat with them
afterwards and the guy in girls clothing(your words) told me
it was a complete disaster and the set had almost nothing to
do with the set they prepared, except for the first 3 tracks
or so. that might explain why the set sounded quite sloppy
and a bit boring towards the end(your words, again). still,
despite the crash et al, i thought they were the freshest
thing that evening.

I surprisingly loved Dat Politics (danced my ass
off..damn..), but I i really enjoyed the Kettel & Secede
thingy too. Even with the interruption. It's not always a
bad thing when stuff goes wrong. I thought it was clever and
friendly that they were communicating to the audience.
Oh.. @J198: Kettel shouting rubbish to Karlmarxstadt ???,
haven't seen him doing it, but, its shit. He shouldn't do
that, mock colleagues on a show. I can vaguely relate to
this though because I have some friends who met him and said
he's an arrogant twat. Oh well.. Can't have it all eh
