Hi there. I'm after some advice on PC speakers (2.1) as I
don't have the internet access to trawl the net for reviews.
I've been looking at JBLs and Creative. Can anyone offer any
advice?

Thanks a million.

I agree that Klipsch are really good. Maybe a bit more hi-fi
than Jonesy needs, though.

Jonesy: Are these for your laptop (presumably still with its
built in soundcard), or a different, desktop machine? Only
reason I ask is I think if it's the former, your lappy's
soundcard will be the bottleneck in sound quality and
there's not much point spending a lot on top end PC
speakers.

Hi Ceri. They are indeed for my laptop with whatever
soundcard its got. Can I get a new soundcard get put in?

I have some twenty quid HP ones that are OK but crank up the
volume and distortion rears its ugly head. I need a
subwoofer of course but a whole new set up is the way to
go.

As for net access, its half an hour in a cafe now and then

I thought this topic would be about politically correct
public speaking.
