There are two leagues in baseball, the American and National league, and both of those each have 3 divisions, East, Central, and West. Whoever does the best in each divison gets to go to the playoffs. Also there is a "wildcard" which is the best remaining team in each league that did NOT win the divison. So it's 4 teams from each league, 8 teams total playing in the first round. |
