one derives a certain satisfaction from listening to their own music. that is obvious; it is undeniable that one is satisfied by their own music and that's one chooses to develop it. this goes for any kind of art. but what about when you are enjoying a piece of art from a major inspiration? the problem is NOT that it is better than your music, the ISSUE (not the problem) is that it is satisfisfying you. one mustn't ignore that they are also satisfied by other peoples music when developing their own music.
i've been reading this robert anton shit, and it's true; a lot of people are set on this idea that the universe is full of yes's and no's. the classic example is two kids playing around with a classic riddle. one holds a rock in his or her hand and asks, 'ok, which hand is the rock in?' apply that to the rest of everything. the universe. sure it is logical to say that the rock must be in one hand or another, but the rest of the universe, the rest of the universe is full of maybe's. the rock may not be in either hand. that is the case with everything. human life is full of maybe's and it's ignorant to adopt this retarded I/O that is expected of everyone. the status quo, your security, it's all fucking retarded. your ego? a mental handicap.

and i didn't really say it that clearly but it's for when one is; for example, are workin on a piece of music or visual art, or however a girl or a guy is tryin to stimulate themselves, and they feel discouraged when they check out someone elses stimuli... the reason that person is feeling discouraged is NOT because their shit sucks, it's because of timing (like everything else). you're set on stimulating yourself with your own data but suddenly you're stimulated by someone elses. that is not a BAD thing at all. it doesnt mean your art sucks. all these articles about ja rule, ludacris, motherfuckin, i dunno, jay z? like all these amateur rappers saying, "man, i wish i could be like these guys", motherfuckin, they don't wish they could be like their inspirations. it's that they are being stimulated by their inpsirations while they are trying to stimulate themselves. that leads to stimulation duplication... it's BAD. and that's a correct I/O. that shit is DUPE STIM!
the EGO disregards all forms of time, the EGO enforces the I/O . time has no place in the EGO. the status quo is invoked over and over and over and, for christs sake, you'll kill yourself. those are the darkest point in your life. i swear... when you think that everything must be NOW, when all possibilities must be in existance at one point instead of being diffused through time. when you get to that point in which TIME is no longer tolerable. this egocentric demand of events in time is motherfukin retarded...

i know the feeling. like you're satisfied with your work, then you hear someone elses, and they've got a unique sound too. we have a viral way of thinking, like we want some kind of omni-style. it's never enough. all or nothing, black and white thinking, you nailed it.

I don't think art should be made for an internal stimuli. I think the best way to create quality art is when you make it for someone.

i think art should be made purely for internal stimuli, but the only way you can enjoy it long after its finished is if someone else appreciates it too

I'm not saying I'm innovative...that's why I can't be bothered making music anymore. Although I get the feeling the next big thing in electronic music is going to feature a lot of the sparseness your hear in Dubstep, Grime and certain R'n'B/hip hop tracks.

sometimes i love my music, lately i hate it. it's true, you really can't compare the creativity of things are they are relative to the creator's own perception and interpretation of things. however, my issues now are the actual sound quality/audio engineering aspects of things:
how do i get so much sound in x amont of space?
let the headaches continue.
