haha.

I have a feeling it's not dead, it seems to be working
(lights on, input signals etc) but it's not speaking to the
computer (its a firewire external sound card).

Tried drivers, tried restoring settings...

Fortunately i reinstalled my whole system 4 days ago so i
guess i'll just do that again tomorrow.

go deep into your subconcious and try to remember what you
did before you noticed it's dead.

OK so i just god a new computer with the latest version of
OSX and now the soundcard doesn't even talk to the computer
at all, just a helpless blinking light... DAMNIT.

Mac driver support might be a bit finicky with all the
changes that they have been going through.

restarts both on computer and soundcard usually do the
trick. i got both silent and blinking soundcard situations

im kind of rolling with that idea too. Forums suggest the
latest 10.4.7 is the least friendly too.

Maybe try to find a third party driver. If its a popular
soundcard, its probly around
