3D projection without the glasses seems quite futuristic.

Nick Knight says photography's all over. Because if the 80's and 90's were all about putting twists on old ideas, where does that leave us now? Not only has everything been done, everything's been redone.

What I think could be interesting is really hi-resolution DV cameras. And when you take out a still frame, it looks like a perfectly clear photo. That would save having to take millions of posed photos. You could just film a model or whoever walking around for a few minutes, and then find the exact frame that works perfectly without being too self-conscious about it.

There are cameras in development that can be refocused digitally afterwards. I forgot the name, but there are examples up..somewhere. It seems crazy when you see it, really short DOF and still they're able to shift the focusing distance.
Swears, how do you solve lighting? The light from a flash generates almost no heat compared to a continuous lamp AND is hundreds, if not thousands of times brighter. Using exact lighting is critical in studio photography.

infrared. read the heat of the scene and have the camera interpret the lighting.

What about those cameras that make large objects look like small toys? Has anyone applied that method to actual film making (movies as opposed to photography)?

If you mean tilt/shift lenses, then yes, check out a movie called 'In the cut' with Meg Ryan. It uses alot of selective focus, but it's used for creating a mood, not miniaturizing objects. The colors in that movie look great too. No wonder really, it's the same photographer who worked on Collateral and now Miami Vice.

Well, I suppose it wouldn't work for flash photography, but for everything else, you could just use whatever lighting you were using before.

yeah, that is really awesome. stick a 100mp, 24-bit sensor behind it, and you've got the camera of 2015.
