OK, so i wonder if anyone could help. I need to know if my laptop will function in Japan. Now i know Japans Voltage is 100v but ive heaard that theres more too it than that. My laptop power pack says its input is AC 100-250 ~1.5a (50-60hz)
Now I assume that means that as long as i have a Japanese plug rather than my UK one on the end it will actually function out there!
Does anyone know enough about voltages etc to tell me if this is true or not?

How many more times are you going to remind us that you're going to Japan?

yes you should be ok. Japan is awkward and different parts use 50Hz or 60Hz, but the voltage is 100V AC.
Your PSU is probably of the switched-mode variety and will be able to cope with the different frequencies and voltages, and as you assume it should just be a matter of getting the correct cable.
