Well, the school I went to was paid for with tax. As is the free healthcare afforded to British citizens. Oh, and the roads I drive on, the public transport I get to use, the police who protect me (ahem), the social security system I'm currently drawing from...the list goes on. |

Well, it's free at the point of use. We don't need health insurance like many countries.There's a statue to commemorate the guy who set it up (Aneurin Bevan) in my home town. Well, in three weeks I'll be paying taxes in Portugal; I'm not a long-term benefit-scrounger. |
