phree musica!

http://www.archive.org/details/nlr07

the act took place in May, there were some nice sets.

shame that Zenial and Plesk have asked not to put full sets
online, cause they were most groovy. Anyway, I recommend the
Plesk file.

descriptionz:

.At/on [Ukraine] - ambientish idm
Zenial [Poland] - noise fading into techno
Alexey Petrov [Ukraine] - ambient, abstract, noisy
Jørgen Knudsen [Norway] - noisy ambient, electroacoustic
Gert-Jan Prins [Netherlands] - selfmade TV-tuners noise
Plesk [Belurussia] - IDM, real one, grroovy!
Andreas Tilliander [Sweden] - pop techno, dubby
Mikael Stavöstrand [Sweden] - pop techno
Zavoloka [Ukraine] - abstract industrial, same to last
album
10 : Dunaewsky69 [Ukraine] - i don't like this at all
11 : Gultskra Artikler [Russia] - d'n'b, then more cool
ambient idm
12 : Critikal (Andrey Kiritchenko, Kotra, Jeff Surak)
[Ukraine/USA] - noise, no compromise. they wanted to wake up
those folks who slept on the floor cause it was 5 AM, Jeff
Surak was not present.

and a small low-quality video extract from Gert-Jan Prins
performance: here, 2.9 MB.

I downloaded Critical, Zavoloka, Tilliander, Zenial. Kotra +
Kiritchenko + Surak, now that's something! Very inspiring
set, perfect length, great sounds (glitches & drones under
control). Oh wait, you say Surak didn't play?? They were
great nevertheless.

And something I wanted to ask for a long time: do you have
any Kotra CD's (Cdr's) and if so, what would you recommend?

sure! bought some directly from him :)

I have Tek, Dissilient+Acute and Stir Mesh.

Tek is his old self-release, with heavy industrial (not this
guitar-techno but really industrial sounds) rhythms. I
recommend this one, really.

Stir Mesh is fully available for download now in oggs here:
•, it has some rhythms made of atonal pulsies,
noisies and clicks. I heard it on the festival, on beeeeg
speakers, where it sounds awesome. For headphones, only one
or two tracks are good, I think.

Dissilient is a dangerous collection of rarely rhythmic
sonic ten inch nails, drills (not as in drill'n'bass) which
warm up your ears very much. Scary, when loud. I RECOMMEND.

Acute - contains that track called the bridge, which is a
must-listen.

I have Stir Mesh, I like the first half of it, especially
track 5. Thanks very much for the descriptions, I'll
probably buy Dissilent via Zeromoon, together with the new
limited Surak's CDr's.

I belive you have heard Kotra's "Stamina" released on Nishi
Net Label. My favourite release by him. Much more droney and
listner friendly than his other hardcore stuff.
