was thinking it was sounding like tangerine dream
the drums need work, they sound a bit too dry and need to
sound more live. I think you need to play around with the
dynamics a bit, it does get a bit stale after 2 minutes,
sound is kinda flat, needs widening.

make this a bit more energetic and live sounding and it will
be awesome.
I really like this, but it is really spoilt by the cleaness
of everything. listen to a live recording and make it sound
like that. i think fake crowd noise would help too.
i think maybe it needs more of a minimal bit just before the
final bit and make the ending a bit more epic. i like it so
far, but its a bit of a rough diamond.

i hear you, thanks for the pointers. and yes the drums do
sound to clean, and the whole track does need a bit of punch
to it. i'm no good at mastering though, so could be a bit of
a problem. hmm

This really wants to make me play Ace Combat or some other
flight combat situation game from the late 90's. :]

the track is progressive and cool
the drums make it rule, i wonder like oyvinto about some
double snares and also kicks, they sounded unrealistic, and
that's not nicely cheesy when you go out of your way with
drum solo's

maybe you should work on the whole sound making it less
electronic and more rock

haha swears made me laugh 4 times in this topic.

The track sound kind of gay. Like stock music from a really
bad computer game. I got bored half way through and stopped
listening so my review only applies to the beginning,
although my guess is you pretty much finish with more of the
same.

i would take about a minute out of the beginning of this,
it's a bit too much of the same thing.. the breakdown is
good, i like the wandering synth you bring in. the
one-two-one-two-three-four melody of that high-pitched synth
really needs more variation. i like the echoing drum style,
for the most part it works well.

overall, i don't mind the somewhat dated sound design, it
reminds me of a game called 'rock and roll racing'.. the
ending especially.

with some editing here and there, this could become a pretty
solid track.

nice intro, if thats not a sample youve done well. and good
sampling if it is a sample i spose. but i hate that double
snare thing when the drums come in, its horrible. overall
the drums are a bit clean. Actually dont like much of the
drum patterns, but its quite a nicely structured track. fade
out ending? never let that happen again

I listened again, I really like this track.
Is it possible for me to remix/rework/tweak it ?
If you could send me the multitrack wav files that would be
ace, I'd love to add/change a few bits in this, that is, if
it's ok with you.

I was listening to Tangerine Dream live in the Dominion 1982
earlier and this track reminds me of that quite a lot, it's
got a nice live feel to it.

Anyway, I've got a few days off work and not much to do, so
why not?

Also the "hole in the sky" is good as well. I think I have
the 'white label' version on my pc. The one I have is called
untitled(23).mp3, hopefully it is a rare collectors version,
which I can flog on ebay in a few years ;)

i'll get back to you on that one. glad you like it tho and
the other one as well :)
