does anyone like this stuff? I imagine loads of people do
and loads don't, I myself dont much care for Anticon's rap
stuff at all but I just chanced upon this track "I Think Im
Getting Married" and listened to the whole album and i find
it very enjoyable in a
boards-of-canada-if-they-didnt-take-themselves-so-seriously
way, the crappy recording of drums has a certain charm but
is also a bit annoying and the prefuse style cutting up a
perfectly good guitar recording seems a bit superfluous but
essentially I like it and will probably buy it

the entire anticon catalogue! Dosh is great, some really
nice stuff kinda like a more lofi Hood!

I dunno.... Buck 65, Sage Francis, Atmosphere... theyre all
anticon guys right? They dont make good music in my opinion.
I like Boom Bip but I only just realised they are
associated.

first of all, dosh is great. his first album on anticon was
tops

second of all, buck 65 does not suck. try to get your hands
on his old stinkin rich tapes from like 93-96... he's moved
on now, but he was a hip hop master. who the hell you
frontin' for/

i dunno maybe... its just... well they never have any impact
when they rap, i want people who can just take over the
track and have some absurd sense of rhythm and sound like
they are actually comfortable with rapping rather than
sounding like a mediocre poet who needs a credible outlet
into popular culture. but hey i havent ever heard buck 65 on
record

I borrowed an album for a while, I cant remember it much
though but I didnt even rip it to mp3 before I gave it back.
Its just the trying too hard to be funny or different or
lyrical... I'm probably talking shit here. I'll check out
that Why album
