Venetian Snares sucks

offline Monoid from one source all things depend on 2006-07-20 02:45 [#01940243]

Some Idiot on SLSK uploaded a venetian snares mp3 on my
moms computer. This music whatever it is called, bores me to
death, and it is not very subtle either, even the track
names are retarded (Americanized). I dont know, maybe with
such a title its meant to sound like shit, or I just dont
get the irony. If you heard on SNARES track you heard them
all.

Now, someone mention "complexity" and claim that i
just don't "get it".

Their tracks have inner complexity. It's you who just don't
get it!

I'm a dude, you're a dude, let's do this dude to dude.
Theres complexity in his stuff. Creating beauty out from
something quite harsh and nasty. I think it's far to say you
just don't get it.
Dude.

and monoid, im a bit of a snaresy boy fanboy, and
Americanized isnt really a favourite of mine or anything.
theres other places to start and other albums to listen to,
but that said, there are alot of people who would agree with
you on this one, and you could listen to all of venetian
snares' stuff and you'd probaly have the same opinion. dude.

What KIND of complexity? Maybe you can explain it to me, if
you 'get it' and I don't.
Actually Id also like to say that 'complexity' does not
intrest me at all, im kinda a minimalist

i love Hand Throw and Einstein-Rosen Bridge tracks, they
don't suck - they disturb, annoy and unpleasantly surprise
(less than Kotra, of course) the other folks here at work,
when playing in my headphones. I would like somebody made a
nice fitting video to Hand Throw. I hate raggajungle or what
is it called but I don't have any objections againste this
track which is damn cool.

From what I heard it wasn't that great. Another big let down
recently was all the skinny puppy tracks I heard... absolute
shite compared to eyes of stanley pain. I just bought about
every depeche mode cd recently.
People's musical preference constantly baffles me. I use the
tactic of searching for two albums I really like in a single
google search maybe with the phrase "top ten" and such
trying to find similar things other people would recommend.
It works with movies and stuff but not with music; you
pretty much have to listen to everything yourself.

Thats like making a sandcastle out of shit and calling it
art.

Snares is definatly a one trick pony. Every new album I hope
he'll break some new ground but it's always the same basic
stuff. He obviously has a lot of technical talent, and I'd
love to hear him expierment with some more styles. I think
some Snares brand hip hop would hit the spot.

'Americanized' is one of my favorite Snares tracks... It
always gets me head bobbin'.

You are not allowed to make music threads! B7!!!

I can dig Rossz and Huge Chrome Cylinder, but his other work
does not please my ears. Winniepeg is just sad

I think the more people bash him, the more publicity it is
for him. If you don't like him, don't talk about him.

Huge Chrome Cylinder Unfolding is an album very much ahead
of it's time, it is very very nice to listen to!

Chocolate Wheelchair is a fun driving cd!

7 meds is awsome

His new stuff I'm not into as much, but Arron seems to be a
really nice guy so whatever I have no beefs, except for that
whole Pwntendo bullshit ... but that's another story.
