Hi, This seems really OT but I'm researching a school project:
Would you like the idea of ice-cream vans that also sold the items in vending machines?
This is because vender-snacks are being banned in schools and we are looking at alternative methods for a business project.
Thanks, FutureImage

They already exist. I'd hazard a guess numbers-wise and say 1 in 3 ice cream vans sell cans of coke, chocolate bars, etc. I've even seen one that sold crisps.

I think they'd get a lot of bad press in our current health-fascist times, but yes, I think in Winter it may be a good idea. How about selling hot doughnuts/pancakes out of it too? Might be nice in the colder weather.
DM: Yes, it's Crazy I know. They may as well be selling pasties and pies.

yeah, they would get flak for selling ice creams. at my [old] place, they are replacing coke with fruit juice in the venders, and they got rid of the sixth form chocolate vender.

hah, we had the pancake idea but some of us think it's too hard to setup
we're looking at going into SOME healthy-eating, but our teacher is advising us to go into it fully.

Crepes, with fruit topping/filling is cheap/easy to do, lowish setup cost and percieved as healthy (as far as snacks go). Batter can be made cheaply, buy sacks of frozen "forest fruits" (berries), you could make a good return.
Ask Drunken Mastah about the waffle vans/kiosks they have in Norway.

those waffles you buy in kiosks or from kids with a table and a waffle iron always taste the same.. there must be some kind of "sell-to-other-people-waffle" recipe floating around somewhere.. ...
... ...
It's a conspiracy!
