just go to your pile of cds (or vinyl) and take the saw
85-92 one... then play it

and there you have it... excellent music for your brain and
ears

Six years ago I bought SAW 85-92 and the Ae - Chiastic Slide
import simultaneously. I hate to rain on the AFX parade, but
Chiastic grabbed my attention more, not to say there's any
direct correlation between the two.

SAW 85-92: The first Aphex album, providing a benchmark by
which electronic music was, and is, judged.

Chiastic Slide: The underwhelming fourth album by Ae.

i like the first track of chiastic slide... just because I
like the sound of the thing that plays the melody line.
sounds so nice. anyone has this sound?

some good music is not easy at first time uh?

Ambient Works one and two are why everybody in Britain bones
over aphex. He made it all intellectual and hip to like
rave.
Then the Tories, Alan McGee and the staff of the NME
realised that rock 'n' roll music is an essential tool for
keeping modern youth submissive in the western world
(because it is uber-traditional) So they developed britpop
to kill the dream.

Well maybe not, but that's one way to look at it.

Chiastic Slide is awesome, definitely in the upper crust of
AE for me.

Anyway, all my all-time favorite albums are usually things
that hit me like a ton of bricks right from the get-go. Not
that I won't love an album I don't care for at first.

Chiastic Slide is a very solid album, a touch of warmth and
sunlight entered Ae's Coldscapes there
