Where are the geeks at?

1. When did you start
2. What programming languages?
3. Show us some examples!

1. When I was 15
2. C/C++ (using the opengl api)
3. Erm, I'd rather not :p But ok, I programmed the original
physics code and initial gameplay stuff for the first
version of warsow some years ago. I've also done
some quake/quake2/quake3 and HL mods.

I also used to do 3d modelling (worked on the quake3fortress
team) too, but I "quit" all of it and decided to focus on
music some years ago.

So yes, I am a geek/nerd.

I am a geek, I don't care.

1. 3 years ago with good old pascal
2. Now mostly c++ and a little java. I'm not a very active
geek so I don't plan any new languages now.
3. Actually I need betatesters for my master's thesis
program. Well, it's not only mine, I write it with two of my
friends and one of them is THE geek (he's good at design
patterns and all that and quite a dedicated guy). This is an
educational program for teaching optimization methods. I was
responsible for half of the methods (check out Nelder-Mead)
the implementation of penalty functions and am currently
working on the evolutionary algorithm.

Yeah, good and geeky stuff. Warsow have just come out,
haven't it?

aha, that program should work on a mac with no problems
apart from some graphic glitches. Blame it on wxWidgets.

There's been some versions out for a while I think. I just
wrote the initial base that never got out of the design
team.
