for modern dub definately check out Hi-Fidelity Dub
Sessions... I really like them a lot and have listened to
them many times since I got them. Nice production modern dub
tracks, but still in the vein of traditional dub for the
most part.

oh yeah, if you're willing to try something more electronic
that you might or might not like, try listening to In Dub
from Hallucinogen. it's actually quite good, despite the
cheesy name.

I don't hate Reggae, but I'm fairly indifferent to it and I
really like Dub.

Taff: As others have said, the Trojan boxsets are superb. I
don't know of much modern dub as such, but a lot of modern
music (trip hop, illbient, etc.) is influenced by it and has
a similar sort of feel.

you guys are ace thanks i will deem today DUBDAY! and it
will be a day of dub.

btw the only reason i said modern dub was just because i
wanted some that had a modern production sound to use for
other things but this lot is great i think i'll start with
king tubby as he seems the most recommended and i'll hunt
out those boxsets

thanks loads peeps!

Heavyweight Rib Ticklers

Not all dub, but an excellent selection of songs, compiled
by Mr. Scruff.

Dub is an absolute swine to do properly. I don't know why,
it's easy to get something that sounds "dub-like", but
actually getting something close to proper dub is really
hard.

Only a couple of the VSTs on this site are any good, but the
basic production and fx theory are very useful
