upon superficial listening the first 3 tracks are great and
the rest meh...
an ep with the first 3 tracks would be an instant classic

oh snap!
the first three tracks have been getting alot of attention.

but there are definetely others in there that are quite
brilliant.
brilliant snares release.

if i were to start giving venetian snares a real listen. a
real honest chance, which album should i start with? which
is the best one? I've pretty much only listened to chrome
cylinder box or whatever, and i thought it was OK. i
imagine there are better releases.

HCCBU's quite a complex one to start off on. I would say
Winter in the Belly of a Snake, or even this new one
perhaps.

Winter in the Belly of a Snake, Songs about my Cats or this
one for music. Higgins... or Chocolate Wheelchair Album for
fun.

rossz: is beautiful but not very much his sound
winter in the belly: for me its a classic, but some say its
not good
doll doll doll: maybe the most representative

i think it depends on what your after. i find stuff like
chocolate wheel chair very different style to the HCCBU type
albums. If you like it dark and spazzy go with doll doll
doll or find candice maybe, if you want something more like
HCCBU i'd say meathole.... i dunno hehe I'm gonna say go
with meathole but if you don't like it don't write it off ;)

meathole is not that much like hccbu imo

but its true what you say, it depends on what the listener
is after

cos contrary to what many people say, he really has a varied
output, so for a newcomer its not the same to listen to
winter in the belly or chocolate wheelchair

for more melodic (idm) snares:

winter in the belly
songs about my cats
hccbu (maybe a little autechre-ish lp5 style, but vsnares
above all)
rossz
cavalcade
moonglow

for more classic vsnares sound:

doll doll doll
meathole
find candance
giant alien force

more breackcore:

making orange things
infolepsy
printf
winnipeg

i guess what i'm asking here is, which one is the crowd
pleaser. everyone's favorite.

you know like with aphex twin people always say I care
because you do or Drukqs.

and with BOC people always say MHTRTC or Geogaddi.

so which is Vsnares Dark side of the moon?

WITBOAS is a great album but really cold sounding and quite

snares is a bit too much for me these days... however,
albums like doll doll doll, find candace, higgins, printf
and 7 sevens med are absolutely gorgeous. his new stuff is
just too much of the same meandering, with the exception of
HCCBU... lovely HCCBU.

although "Swindon" off this new one is great! part of
Meathole was great as well, but too inconsistent... too many
different styles jammed onto one disc.

Snores has his moments. I much prefer his earlier stuff in
general. Rossz I really liked and random other tracks get me
but modern Snores is just feels like fast cut ups without
soul.

At the current rate of innovation to revival, I'd say he's
got enough going until 2008. Maybe that's why the ugly

man you are harsh... he is a nice guy though... I met him in
madrid when he played here and it was really nice... he
wanted to know things about me, asking me about my life ...
really nice guy.

I have to respect that you dislike his music, but I thought
you might want to know that he is an interesting person.

I haven’t heard every single thing he’s put out but damn
just thinking about it, Aaron has put out some pretty
fantastic stuff, impossible to choose his best. I'm a sucker
for melody and mood so my favorites are:

Doll Doll Doll
Songs About My Cats
Higgins Ultra Low Track Glue Funk Hits 1972 - 2006
Winter In The Belly Of A Snake
Find Candace
The Chocolate Wheelchair Album
Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding
Rossz Csillag Alatt Született
Cavalcade Of Glee And Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom Poms

It would be great to feel some of these tracks live but
it’s probably just me, they don’t connect with my soul:

Making Orange Things
237 0894
Horse And Goat (I do however have the CD &12” because I
reckon the artwork is a great laugh)
Infolepsy EP
Meathole

kind of inafntile but damn energetic. And Where's Bill of
