why the hell do women always have to dress up when they socialise? my girlfriend always comes out wearing some massively elaborate skirt and dress almost every bloody night as if she is going to a posh restaurant of a party. but she knows full well that when we get into town and meet up with other people, we will all just end up getting pissed on a bench in a dark muddy field. |

well when else is she gonna get a chance to "dress-up". Ofcourse i can't be specific to your case- but in general it's not everyday/month/year/ (some cases)decades that the stereotypic female gets the chance to go to a really posh resteraunt , formal do etc.. |

Hey everyone, the woman guru has spoken. It may surprise you to know Combo, that that is not the case for all women. I personally think it looks a bit silly when women go really over the top with their clothing to go to a pub or a gig, it is especially underage girls that do that because they're not really sure what is the "normal" attire for that kind of situation because of a lack of experience. Some girls, however do like to dress up when they go out because it makes them feel nice. If they're usually in school or work uniform or wear very casual clothing around the house, they like to dress up when they go out, for a change, like some guys also like to. Ezkerraldean, if the way your girlfriend dresses, annoys or embarrasses you, why don't you mention it to her in one of those "it sounds like I'm joking but I actually mean it" kind of ways? Maybe she's doing it for you because she feels self-conscious in your relationship or because she wants to look nice for you. If you assure her that you think she looks just as beautiful in her scruffs and that she doesn't need to dress up then, maybe she won't. On the other hand, it might have absolutely nothing to do with you and she's just doing it because it makes her feel nice. If so, then leave her to it! |
