No more low-quality 1.2 MegaPixel shots!

Just boutght my first SLR. Canon EOS 3000V. I can't wait to
get started with it. I'll be sure to post some sweet_pix as
soon as I get the chance! :D

Well, I didn't seem to have enough for the digital, so film
is fine. But the quality will be great.

Film rocks! I have a Canon EOS 500N meself. And a Nikon
Coolpix 885 digital camera for taking explicit pictures of
me and the dog. You know the drill.

Quick question to anyone. What would I set the shutter speed
and exposure to if I want to take a picture of streaming
tail lights of cars? Is it high (2000 for shutter speed) or
low (1)?

low
1-10 seconds depending how extreme you want the effect to
be. and use a tripod so that the rest of the pic still looks
sharp or recognisable atleast..

nighttime photography rocks have a look at some i did down
at the train lines.. www.butcha.deviantart.com

Yeah the 5D is nice :)

I would've bought this camera even if it had been 4 MP. The
viewfinder is huge compared to the other camera I own..I
forgot the name..300D something. The low noise level on high
ISOs is amazing. 800 ISO is no problem and walking around
with 400 as standard is really great. The 24x36 sensor does
collect dust, but I'll let it pile up and call it
"charming".

1-10s? I suppose this is overkill then..

about 45 mins (or one CSI episode)
