So I see there's a 12" over at Boomkat with remixes of
Plaid and Pole. Boomkat describes... "Mr Tejada's classic
clickety, euphoric Mono on Mono gets a great make-over here
by Plaid and Pole. Plaid throw down a wiggling kinda broken
electric-boogie beat paired with a tender main melody that
revolves around steeldrums and a childrens musical box
before we’re lead into a more improvisitional part that
reminds of a electronically alienated muted french horn. The
real killer here is the Pole mix though, a killer 4/4
interpretation underpinned by trademarkes crackling sounds
and an affinity to classic dub with it’s heavy, stoically
pounding bassline dropping in and out of the mix."

Interesting, huh? So I check out Discogs, amd his earlier
releases is described as "Tech House". Me not want Tech
House. Now tell me; is John Tejada something worth checking
out?

"Los Angeles DJ and producer Tejada has been releasing
minimal techno since the early '90s,"

Hmmm...I like a lot of minimal electronic music. But minimal
techno... Nah

i wish topics could grow like plants with branches and lots
of different directions and then it'd fill the page and you
would have to zoom out to get a full overview of the tree
and it'd be really confusing at first but then everyone
would get used to it and they could follow the branch they
found most interesting...

the tech house description comes close, yes. it's similar to
the work of ricardo villalobos, and in a lesser sense to
isolee. although it's tech house, it surely isn't funky
handbag shit. it's sexy minimal techno, with a heavy focus
on production. if ae would make tech house, it would sound
like this.

there are some tracks available @ bleep. same holds for
villalobos and isolee.
