Although Jan's output as Farben is limited, he has created
an monster of an alias. The album is one of the best I've
ever heard, so I decided to look into the rest of stuff from
the EP's and some comp only tracks. Wow. My favourite artist
ATM.

It's too clicky and minimal for me really.

THis stuff is fucking awesome. I've got the 4 e.p's that
make up Starbox, and also the most recent e.p. "The Sampling
Matters."

This dude is brilliant, one of my favourite artists.

Finally got me a copy of "Loop-Findong Jazz Records" the
other day. It's brilliant.

one of my favs..do you know the album 1+3+1 he did with
triosk? if not, check that one out too, it's much in the
same mood as loop finding jazz records.

Yesterday I got "Personal Rock" released under the name
Gramm. I'd describe it as equal parts Farben and
"Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records". It's almost as good as
Loop-Finding..., which is one of my favorite albums ever.

Got that one too. As well as La Nouvelle Pauvrete and
Kosmischer Pitch.

Big fan.

Not sure whether I prefer Farben or Jan Jelinek stuff
though. Hard to choose, so I guess I won't bother.

Not got any Gramm stuff though. What's it like?

well, it's more similar to farben, except more minimalistic.
i loved personal rock couple of years ago, but haven't
listened in a while.

one album is enough for me. no matter how many aliases, it's
the same style. good and i like it but a bit too repetitive
for me.

plus i got tired of it cause i put one of his albums in my
morrowind explore music folder. every time one of those
clicky tracks played i thought the game was crashing. never
again.

Today I listened to 2 hours worth of tracks that aren't on
the album. Left stunned.

if you like jelinek, check "institut für feinmotorik"...
it's just turntables and well... stuff... nice concept, but
above all also damn groovy

Tell me more.

What were they? There are more tracks on the vinyl than the
cd.

Excluding the 9 tracks from Textstar, there are about
25 others, not including remixes.

So what were the two hours worth of music then?

Any standout tracks?

Raute, Disfunction, Raw Micro, The Kosmologische Konstante
(Copyright Made Me Do It), As Long As There's Love Around,
Loop Exposure and Balladen (Beweglich) stood out on first
listen.
