Finally got my nord lead 3!!

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2006-04-29 18:21 [#01889655]

After nearly two months of waiting, it finally came in!!!
Awesome!!!

It almost makes me want to preform live just to show it off.
I have decided to spend today taking a much needed break
from playing oblivion and just spend time with it. It sounds
so nice, and the knobs with led's are great. Ace!

You know, I am really inspired to put something online
because of it. Its my only multitimbral synth that isn't a
neckhurt to program. I am probly going to sell half my gear,
buy an ion, and keep everything at four synthesizers. I need
a better midi controller. My SY22 isn't cutting it.

This is a really satisfying sounding synth. It even does the
prophet 5 sound really well. I can see this cutting into my
time with the evolver.

you have to find a site where to
preferably somewhere where we can directly listen and not
yousendit, in my opinion

yes, it's very common. 4 out of 7 does it on a regular
basis.

My girlfriend would agree with you, however I don't feel I
buy too much stuff. I buy the ammount of stuff I think I
need. Its all subjective.

I am going to be getting rid of some of the shit tho. I
guess I have too much shit that I don't end up using. The
MPC, the evolver the chaos pad and the quadraverb get used
lots. The other stuff with more specific uses can probly
go.

My first song??? What are you talking about. I have lots of
songs. I used to be very outgoing with them. I just don't
like putting things online.

There's a difference between buying too much junk, and
investing in a TOP-NOTCH synthesizer. :)

Congrats Taxi, I just wish I could save my money as well as
you do! :D

the MPC is that famous-ish sampler thingie, right?

how much you want for that? ..I probably can't afford it no
matter what you want, but.. how much?

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2006-04-30 03:28 [#01889814]

No, I mean I use the mpc. All the time...

ITs the things like the sh32, s950, tx81z and the sy22 that
I am probly going to be getting rid off. Anything I would
use the sh32 and sy22 for has been replaced by the lead 3.
The other two are just kind of fetishes that I had for a
while, more for the sake of having them in my studio then
actually having them to use.

are any of those simple synth modules with lots of knobs?

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2006-04-30 03:39 [#01889826]
Points: 9958 Status: Lurker

Was he doing that?

I have been around here for more than five years, and the
only time people ever seemed to want to hear what music I
made was after I started talking about the gear I had
started buying last summer. The music should stand on its
own either way, reguardless of what the tools are. Anyways,
there is a good chance that a lot of the people here have
heard my music, they just don't realize it or remember it.

Yeah, the sh32 has lots of knobs but I wouldn't call it
simple. Its a beast, its just not as much of a beast as the
lead 3.

Hmmm. Maybe.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic there. I get the
impression that I usually come across sounding arrogant,
even though that isn't totally the case. I try to stay
realistic about things. Not really positive, but not really
negative.

no im not being sarcastic, i just do find it striking
i can only imagine you don't want to post because of
negative reactions, and i undestand that.
or whatever the reason is, i can't imagine an artist that
doesn't want to put his work out there, somewhere. but i
imagine you do let real life people hear your stuff
