He's done the same thing, again! How boring must it be in
his cut up breaks+half arsed "melody"=a wankers idea of the
lowest common denominator that constitutes IDM fucking brain
I can't imagine.

Bad Aphex rip off, 10 years too late, cunt fodder.

hmm... i wonder what AFX thinks of this...?? (it really
sounds like drukqs to my ears)

offline DirtyPriest from Copenhagen (Denmark) on 2006-04-30 02:34 [#01889795]

It certainly sounds like Drukqs. Still, its some of the
better Venetian snares i've heard.

offline isnieZot from pooptown (Belgium) on 2006-04-30 02:56 [#01889798]
Points: 4949 Status: Lurker

doesn't sound like drukqs imho. I mean it's not because he's
using a 303 that instantly makes it a drukqs rip off. sounds
like regular snares imo but with a little different
soundpallete. you should also listen to the other tracks
before saying it's a drukqs ripoff.the release is quite
varied.

saying all that the release doesn't really grab me. it's
good though. but I'm not "WHOA". my favorite is still "print
F shiver in eternal darkness". but he still blows every
wannabe breakcore producer out of the water.

offline nacmat on 2006-04-30 03:06 [#01889805]

sounds like drukqs?
will have to listen... but I doubt it

offline magness from astroblaster (Antarctica) on 2006-04-30 11:17 [#01890063]
Points: 589 Status: Lurker

actually it sounds to me like he's been listening to analord

offline OK on 2006-04-30 16:07 [#01890232]
Points: 4791 Status: Lurker

it does sound like drukqs but with an acid line. at times
it's ziggomatic at times it's the track on rephlexions, at
times is a werid version of the theme AFX been using.

it's a lol

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2006-04-30 16:15 [#01890233]

It is very drukqs, whatever though I'm a sucker for acid
jungle

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2006-04-30 16:30 [#01890240]

i dont really think it sounds like drukqs

then again i kind of let go of that whole thing a ways back

honestly i bet richie digs it, he's played vsnares at gigs
before

Yea I don't really see hte drukqs thing... sounds pretty
excellent to me. Good ol' Aaron back form at last.

sounsd drukqs-ish to me
not that that's a bad thing.

please continue, aaron

Points: 18368 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

i like it but why does it seem like his sounds (individual
sounds) always seem , eh , i dunno

they don't really do much for me
put together the flow i like ... but on the topic of drukqs,
each individual sound is like a handcrafted masterpiece

offline KEYFUMBLER from DUBLIN (Ireland) on 2006-04-30 23:40 [#01890359]
Points: 5696 Status: Lurker

yep.. very drukqs but better in my estimation..... i think
vsnares has a knack for making a track fizz along without
too much time to settle which is a good thing for acid
jungle methinks

I agree elusive. Probably cause Rich has a million dollars
worth of equi[ment. Druqks is probably 20 nord leads and
samples. Or racks of creamware. Or all vst. What do I
know.

I d be hot proud if i made something that sounded like
druqks

offline pigster from melbs on 2006-05-01 06:55 [#01890448]
Points: 4480 Status: Lurker

wow, hospitality sounding like drukqs never crossed my
mind.
i do like it. but just cos its fast drum n bass? stuff with
acid and synths, doesnt make it like drukqs.. does it?
sounds more like bits of previous snares (huge chrome,
chocolate wheelchair, doll, whatever) together with
something just a tad new.

offline ecnadniarb on 2006-05-01 12:31 [#01890584]
Points: 24805 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

Snares lacks any sort of refinement. I wasn't the worlds
biggest Drukqs fan but something Dicky always gets into his
track is refinement...there are always "fuck, you clever
bastard" moments in Aphex tracks that I never, ever,
experience listening to Snares.

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2006-05-01 12:41 [#01890597]
Points: 18368 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

yes, i agree with that.

i like snares and all, don't get me wrong, but in this
example and many other tracks ... the individual sounds
don't really do much for me.

yeah grouped together and break/drill real fast / wahtever
he does ... it works ok , but like if you disect it and look
at the individual sounds , nothing really impresses me too
much.

i wouldnt say it doesnt impress me i just don't get that
"whoa" factor like when i listen to drukqs

weird tangent we're on, we best stay off this course

offline redrum from the allman brothers band (Ireland) on 2006-05-01 12:55 [#01890606]

this really isn't that great.. it's a bit insulting that
it's being compared to drukqs.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2006-05-01 13:08 [#01890616]
Points: 7877 Status: Lurker

the comparison doesnt give any indication of quality

offline ecnadniarb on 2006-05-01 13:27 [#01890628]

The first thing I thought when I heard it was actually that
it was a shit version of Cock/Ver 10 mixed with bits of
Analord and bits of other Drukqs tracks...now that I have
listened to it again it actually reminds me of a shit
version of Cock/Ver 10 mixed with bits of Analord and bits
of other Drukqs tracks.

it's weird, snares is talented but everytime i listen to him
i catch myself drawind thousands of comparisions that make
it difficult for me to appreciate his music for what it is.

maybe if i didn't know afx, sp, mu-ziq, etc. i'd be nuts for
vsnares.

an example, rossz is an ejoyable album and all but I can't
help thinking it's an hour long study on girl/boy song. and
then on this track it's sounds (keyword here: sounds,
doesn't imply intention) like he's also imitating the nice
melody theme on druqks it's just a lol.

NONE OF THE INDIVIDUAL SOUNDS REALLY IMPRESS ME

EVEN THAT WEIRD BLEEP SHIT AT 38SECONDS DOESNT SOUND VERY
.... "HANDCRAFTED"
