so I went to see these 2 bands yesterday. I especially came for ES because I only knew Supersilent by name. I came a bit late and ES was already busy. there was a video on a big screen playing and he was improvising on it.
he only played for a half hour. what a fucking ripoff. and it wasn't even that good. nothing from an album or anything. just piano playing. not that I have anything against that but it just wasn't good imo. and seriously...half an hour?????? sjeees
after that I was like "ah fucking hell I should've stayed home"
but then it was supersilent. that was really great and amazing. I never heard of these guys but there where 2 drummers and one of them played trumpet and sang. there also was a keyboard player with laptop and stuff. it was also completly improvised but that was really good and varied. it went from ambient to really heavy compositions with drums. everyone was sitting or lying on the floor. I just layed myself on the floor and closed my eyes and just take up the music. it was nice. yup.
there was lots of bass and crown gave thansk

If you want more of that stuff, they have released a DVD (Supersilent7). Maybe it can give you more of the live-magic. Personally I prefer Deathprod, but he is only working on Supersilent-material in the future I read in an interview. Be sure to check out his solo-stuff. More drone-ambient-like.

i thought Supersilent consisted of Arve Henriksen (trumpet), Ståle Storløkken(synths), Helge Sten aka Deathprod(electronics) and Jarle Vespestad (drums).
Not 2 drummers...

ES is pretty good imo, one of the few things I like on Fonal.
but it's hard to judge his music on just short samples.
I bought the album "kaikkeuden kauneus ja kästittämättömyys"
how do you pronounce that anyway?
but I like this album it's pretty good. also check the other album.
"Sateenkaarisuudelma"
