Ok, heres a serious question that i want you to take seriously.
If you had the opportunity to destroy the entire universe with the press of button, would you?
After thinking about this for awhile, realised I really would consider it.

nah. if i was able to destroy a planet or something, i would do that cos you could watch the massive explosion etc. , would be cool. Especially earth. well not destroy it instantaneously, but launch massive nukes at it or something, so theres loads of explosions.
if you destroy the universe you wont be able to see the bang and it would be a bit crap.

if the universe is what science/reason considers to be the universe, then no. frankly, i can't see any reason to do that.
if there is/was such thing as eternity, deities, hell, etc. that would be included in the universe (which is highly unlikely), then yes, i would consider it.

You could have a reality tv show called Garden Of Eden 3000 where you get some youths to live in the same building as the button, and have the button guarded from 9-5 normal working week, and when the security staff clocked out the contestants would be told explicitly not to press the button or something unbelievably terrible would happen, and a loudspeaker and series of posters around the place would continually remind them of the danger of pressing the button. And hilarity would ensue...

Earth's final resting place: a singularity of almost zero size, which will then proceed to happily orbit the Sun as normal.
hehehe. if the earth can manage to happily orbit the sun after that, than heck, anyone can.
